“ It was a nice place for fast greet food. It's counter service where you order , get a number and they bring food yo table. The hummus and pita were delicious. My husband and I each ordered the traditional gyros platter. I had a few fatty pieces of meat in my meal that I didn't care for, but I don't like fatty pieces. I know some do so this may be a positive vs a negative as it was for me. That being said the restaurant was clean and very festive decorated. The food was brought to the table in lightening speed. I did have a hard time understanding the cashier when I went to order. She answered my questions so fast I wasn't sure what she said. In the end if you love greek food it's definitely worth giving it a try ”

“ This gem in Arlington Heights serves up some of the best fast-casual Greek food I’ve ever had. My husband and I came on a Friday evening and although it was busy, the service was fast and friendly. I had the beef / lamb gyro entree and my husband the Greek chicken. The portions were generous and the lemon rice pilaf was the star on the plates. We also had the baklava, which was delicious. The manager greeted us on the way out and she was so sweet, and you could tell she appreciated our patronage. We will be back! ”

“ Absolutely fantastic greek restaurant! I LOVE greek food. One of my favorite foods in the whole world! The atmosphere of this place is incredible. Very warm, rich lighting that makes me feel like I'm in Greece while eating some delicious lamb gyros! You need to have the Potatoes in your life as well. However, my favorite dish is the Greek Chicken platter. Garnished with some spices and lemon juice. A hint of heaven! I tell everyone about this place. My mom loves it as well! Keep up the great work! ”

“ Loved pork kalamakia and the pork gyros. Had good flavor to it. Fried calamari was just too salty that we couldn’t enjoy it as much. We will be revisiting but will not order the fried calamari, for sure. ”

“ Overall, Nostimo was good. Octopus and calamari are must eats, definitely recommend getting those. Chicken skewers were good, rice complimented it well in my opinion. The service was excellent, with multiple people checking in and also giving us a free a dessert while we were finishing up our meal. ”

“ Well, folks. Don't read these reviews (apart from mine ::))) of course and believe a word. I've worked, cooked, managed and delivered for restaurants for donkey's years. In Chicago, Istanbul, London, Lima and Las Vegas. And I'll tell ya, the experience (on a super packed, ultra busy, rainy night in November) at Nostimo (Greek for Delicious) I ordered three sandwiches. The regular mix Lamb&Beef Gyro and a Chicken Gyro. No extras, drinks, etc. Just the pure sandwiches with everything on them. Having been to Greece three times and having eaten (grown up with) Greek food in Chicago for 17 years. I'll give my sandwiches 6.5 Stars/ Out of 5 Stars. (or 10.75 stars out of 10). The meat came off the doner thick cut and was twice turned over and given the Maillard fry reaction (as greatly surprising bonus the pita contained two hand cut fries for a sample taste (very clever smart tactic) There was Greek wine available from the bar, Greek music lightly playing on the speakers and everyone bid me a pleasant thank you as I took my food to go. ”

“ We love dining here. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. You order at a counter and receive a number. You get your own fountain drinks. They bring out your food and clean the table after. Often they hand out lovely samples of their desserts. The portion sizes are generous and the sauces are tasty. The kids meals are also well portioned and my daughter calls it the "chicken on a stick place" and she loves going. The restaurant itself is cozy and comfortable. The decor is fun. The bathrooms are clean. Oh and they just added a bar area so we'll have to check out the drinks sometime. We've almost exclusively come during lunchtime so I'm not aware of the dinnertime atmosphere and crowds but lunchtime is busy but certainly not crazy crowded. We've never had to wait for a table/booth. I would definitely recommend and we will continue to return often both just as my husband and I and also with the entire family. ”

“ Prepare to experience food that will make every typical burger/gyros restaurant never good enough again -- the authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious gyros here made my evening and had me planning when I could stop by next (I got the traditional pork gyros). And their dessert...! The orange cake was JUICY! Top it off with super helpful staff that didn't mind explaining/answering questions -- this place is a win! ”
